Patrick Pyle

Senior Director, Meteorology & GIS
Pattern Energy

Patrick Pyle is the Senior Director of Pattern Energy's Meteorology and GIS team. He has been in the renewables business for 17 years, working as a meteorologist, and is based in Houston, Texas. He leads a team of resource assessment and GIS professionals that support wind, solar, and transmission projects. The team focus spans throughout the project lifecycle from site origination into monitoring site and portfolio performance. In addition to traditional resource assessment, his team has also expanded their capabilities into operational weather forecasting to support the energy management of the portfolio. He has been an active member within the ACP Resource and Technology community, once serving as a Program Co-Chair of the Resource and Technology workshop in 2018 and 2019. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Louisiana Monroe and North Carolina State University, respectively.
