Mit Buchanan is a Managing Director and 14-year veteran in the renewable energy sector with a career spanning 34 years in the energy sector within J.P.Morgan and its heritage organizations. Prior to joining Energy Investments, she headed up the Oil & Gas Team of JPMorgan Capital Corporation and structured production platform financing for Independents in the Gulf of Mexico. She has worked on cross border financings as an originator and has had syndication responsibilities in leasing, affordable housing and energy sectors.
As a member of the Energy Investments Team, she functions as a senior originator with high level coverage responsibilities for several top tier JPMorgan clients. Mit has also headed up transactions in the wind, solar (csp, PV-commercial, and PV-utility), and geothermal sectors generating repeat business and demonstrating an ability to manage and close complex financial transactions.
Mit has also participated in a number of industry boards as a current member of the ACORE board and former member of the AWEA board. She has also participated on a number of industry panels. Ms. Buchanan completed her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business and has an AB in Economics from Duke University.
