Kathleen Weiss

Kathy brings together corporate experience with policy expertise on issues ranging from project development to manufacturing and finance to international trade. In her current position as Vice President, Government Affairs with Nextracker, Kathy represents a leading provider of intelligent, integrated solar tracker and software solutions used in utility-scale and ground-mounted distributed generation solar projects around the world. Prior to joining Nextracker, she was a long time executive for solar manufacturer First Solar, where she led successful government advocacy campaigns to open markets, enact legislation and regulatory reform, and defend against adverse polices in state, local, and international arenas.

Kathy has an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a master’s degree in political management from the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University
