Adam Simpson (he/him/his)

Mainspring Energy, California

Adam Simpson, Mainspring Co-founder and Chief Product Officer, leads product, intellectual property, and government affairs. He has been actively involved in the design of the breakthrough fuel-flexible Mainspring Linear Generator from the founding of the company through its commercial launch in 2020. Prior to Mainspring, Adam was a recipient of Global Climate Energy Project funding to advance analysis techniques for making decisions in energy, with the goal of guiding economically and environmentally sound investments and policies in a complex and evolving sector. He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Lafayette College and an M.S. and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. He also has consulted for Sandia National Laboratory and energy-focused venture firms in Silicon Valley.
