Peter Gibson leads LG Energy Solution Vertech’s sales & marketing activities. LGES Vertech is an experienced system integrated wholly owneed by LGES, created after the acquisition of the former NEC Energy Solutions business from NEC in early 2022. His responsibilities include managing a team of dedicated professionals focused on large grid-scale battery storage projects in N America.
Since 2013 when Peter joined the company, LG has delivered approaching 10GWh of energy storage capacity to customers in N America, mostly for front-of-the-meter grid-scale installations including some of the largest advanced battery energy storage systems deployed in the United States.
Peter is a member of ACP's Trade Committee and Energy Storage Council, and was formerly a member of the Energy Storage Association’s Leadership Circle and Board member of the California Energy Storage Alliance.
Professional experience includes assignments focused on traditional and emerging energy technologies in Europe, SE Asia and North America. He earned a first-class honors degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Newcastle in the UK.
