Manager of Asset Management Services Black & Veatch, Kansas
Presentation Description: The rapid adoption of solar PV, BESS and EV charging technologies is creating a massive operations and maintenance challenge for both asset owners and O&M providers. Lots of geographically dispersed sites, with relatively small generation capacity make cost effective O&M extremely difficult. Conventional asset monitoring techniques would not be cost efficient for timely problem identification and dispatch of field services crews. AI-based asset monitoring, however, uses cluster and peer modeling to continuously identify and prioritize the sites requiring analysis and response. This session will demonstrate the use of AI-based asset monitoring to improve the efficiency of problem identification and O&M field service dispatch.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to identify the unique challenges of O&M for distributed generation.
Upon completion, participant will be able to understand how to use AI-based analytics to manage the big data generated by these systems.
Upon completion, participant will be able to identify how to provide a lower cost O&M service through this approach.
